* Club de Conversación

We have received such nice reviews for Club de Conversación and have heard many positive things about this Spanish conversational group from both friends and our Facebook fans. It is a low pressure, fun and easy way to learn Spanish in a relaxed atmosphere talking about subjects relative to your everyday life.

The groups meet at various local cafes making it a positive and informal experience without the pressure of homework and boring textbooks. If you want to learn Spanish and have never been successful, try one of the classes at Club de Conversación. There’s nothing to lose!

TIP: Total beginners welcome too. Click here to read more...

* Jeans Factory Marbella Outlet

Do you like Guess, Fornarina and Calvin Klein? Just found out that the Jeans Factory Marbella Outlet (yes, there are outlets here!) has all of these for prices starting at only 25 euro.

And if you're a Levi's fan they've got 501s for only 59 euro (or 2 pair for 75 euro). I have to fly home to the US to get prices like these, so take advantage while they’re still in stock. Click here to read more...

* Maison Afrique du Sud

At Maison Afrique du Sud you can find not only some of the most comfortable sofas (with removable covers!), but you can also find unique pieces of African art and sculpture. We don't know of any other place in Marbella that offers this large of a selection of African art and furniture.

During my last visit to the store I noticed they had these amazing model boats that are not only a nice decorative piece, but a fantastic work of art that is so intricate and beautiful to look at as well. A perfect gift for those that like all things nautical. Click here to read more...

* Dog licence in Spain

One of our readers has had an interesting experience to share on getting a dog license in Spain, “Has anyone else experienced the nightmare that is getting a dog licence that is required for 'dangerous' dogs?

If you own a dog over 20lbs you need a licence and a muzzle (on dog not you) and a short lead, but need another separate licence for owning dangerous dog. If you have these dogs and don't have a licence beware of massive fines etc. Incidentally your dog may be classed as dangerous here but not in the UK… ”

The story continues with lots of useful information for dog owners, so keep reading if you have a dog. And feel free to comment on our page if you have your own experience to share. Click here to read more…
