* Princess Studios

Princess Studios at Centro Plaza in Marbella is holding really fun after-school kid classes for boys and girls aged 3 to 17. Classes in Ballet, Hip Hop, Street Jazz, Irish Dancing & ZumbAtomic are held in a studio designed especially for dance and performance. This month Princess Studios is starting a medal system that includes awards and will be organizing the kids for performances in December. Click here to read more…

TIP: First class is free!

* Club de Conversación

We are now starting to get in our routines and it's time to learn Spanish...for real! Club de Conversacion offers an alternative way to learn Spanish in an informal setting (cafes!), with friendly people, no homework, no stress all over a cuppa.

We have great reviews about Club de Conversacion and our readers highly recommend them, so it's really worth a go. Beginners, intermediate and advanced classes available. Click here to read more...

* La Latina Baby School

We also have some great reviews for La Latina Baby School and we always hear something positive about this kindergarten. They accept babies as young as 3 months old and offer bilingual education and care for children up to 4 years old.

This school is open all year round from 7:30 (wow! Fantastic for those who need to get to work early.) to 17:00 Monday to Friday (classes start at 10:00am). Babysitting service available for extra hours, weekend or evening/night services. Click here to read more...

TIP: Check out our Facebook page (scroll to September 11) to see the comments we received about La Latina Baby School in our last posting. You can try to contact other parents if you are interested.

* Wing Chun Marbella

Whether you are thinking of acquiring a new skill (perhaps one that will save your life one day) or engaging in a sport for yourself or your kids, you should try Wing Chun Marbella. Classes for adults are taught at Impact Gym in Marbella by Sifu Ben, who has been practicing and competing in the martial art of Wing Chun for over 23 years. Not only is he extremely qualified, but he is an all around great guy and one of the nicest people you will ever meet. Just read some of the reviews on our site and you will see that Sifu Ben has really struck a chord with his students, who are learning some pretty amazing stuff from a master.

First class is FREE, so there's nothing to lose. Click here to read more…

TIP: Kids classes in wing chun are held at Centro Spa in Hotel Sultan Marbella led by licensed instructor Raul Va. 40 euro per month.

* Galaxia Playcenter

Galaxia Playcenter in Guadalmina, San Pedro has initiated the new fall hours. If you have small kids and babies, meet other moms on Fridays from 11:00am to 12:30pm for a fun "Baby Dance" class. First time is this Friday and entrance is FREE! Open to kids from 3 months to 3 years. Click here to read more...

TIP: This opportunity is not only for mums and babies, but dads are welcome too. :)

* Kids triathlon club

The Marbella kids triathlon club (Club de Triatlon de Niños en Marbella) has been running for six years offering training in swimming, running and biking for kids approximately 8 years old (may be younger depending on ability) to 23 years old. We attended the tryouts last Wednesday (don’t worry, it’s not too late) and it looks like an intense club for serious athletes and kids who love sport. At only 30 euro a month for training 5 days a week, this is one of the best bargains in town. Click here to read more...

TIP: I literally just spoke with a member of the adult triathlon club and he guarantees that the kids club is very special, very serious, somewhere that kids can really move forward as an athlete, a place to make lifelong friends and where every kid is "a good one". Good influences and healthy living. It sounds like a winner to me.

* Wanted: Alboran school uniform

One of our readers needs a school uniform for Colegio de Alboran and asks, ”Anyone have any school uniform for a boy aged 4 from Collegio Alboran?? please let me know!”

TIP: Look for uniforms from your school or post the ones you want to get rid of and make a bit of extra cash by using our School Uniform Exchange page.

* School uniform exchange

Please use our School uniform exchange page to get rid of, exchange, buy or sell used (but in good condition) school uniforms for any school on the Costa del Sol. The more of us using it, the better choice we have. Please share the link with other parents and we can all save a ton on our kids’ uniforms this year. Click here to read more…

The Fire Aid concert that was held last Monday in aid of victims of the August fires proved to be a success raising over 18,000 euro, which all goes to the Red Cross Malaga Province.
