* Dyslexia support

One of our readers is looking for some guidance and asks:

”We moved to Spain in august and enrolled our children in an international school. One of our children who is in year 5 has dyslexia and we were promised from the moment we made our enquiry with the school we chose that support would be given.

We have had meetings with both the teacher and principle and still very little action taken. The principle described her as 'special needs' - now anybody who has come into contact with children with dyslexia knows that it just means they learn in a different way. Although there are only 7 students in the class the teacher cannot see how she can find time to do some one-on-one reading with our daughter.

We are getting out of school help but she needs it on a daily basis within the classroom - could anybody recommend an international school that could provide this. We would be very grateful for any suggestions.”

We have an answer for you if you are also looking for dyslexia support in Marbella. Of, if you have a recommendation, please let us know! Click here to read more…
