* Galaxia Playcenter

Take the kids to Galaxia this weekend…yes, even when the sun is shining! This enormous playcenter is located in the Guadalmina commercial center in San Pedro and offers over 1150 square meters of fun for all ages. There is something for everyone with 14 slides, mazes, tunnels, zip wire, air cannons, trampoline, huge outdoor mega slide and much more. The Museo del Grabado Español Contemporáneo (Museum of Contemporary Spanish Printmaking) is holding a special introductory printmaking course on Experimental Printmaking Techniques. This event is led by Daniela Rivero and will be held on Thursdays from April 7, 2011 to June 23, 2011. Marbella Town Hall organizes walks through nature reserves, parks, mountains and other outdoor areas in Andalusia at very reasonable prices called Salidas Abiertas.

This is a great way to discover the nature that exists along the Costa del Sol and Andalusia as well as a wonderful opportunity to meet locals and practice your Spanish. * Siente Marbella!

If you missed the last art, music and food festival last weekend in Old Town Marbella, here is your second chance. Siente Marbella! is held once again this Saturday April 2nd from 12:00pm to 3:30pm and will take place every first Saturday of the month thereafter in conjunction with the Marbella Ecological Market in Parque Alameda nearby. * Marbella Ecological Market

Marbella Town Hall is organizing a Marbella Ecological Market to take place every first Saturday of the month. The next market is taking place April 2nd from 10:00am to 2:00pm on the Paseo de la Alameda in Marbella center.

This ecological market hopes to add variety to the commercial center and to promote the consumption of ecological products in Marbella. All products come from various regions of the province of Malaga and include a variety of items such as vegetables, honey, oil, citrus, eggs and wine among others. * Andalucia Tennis Experience

If you´re a tennis buff, then you won´t want to miss the Andalucia Tennis Experience taking place from April 2 – 10. This weekend will be jam packed with stars on the tennis circuit and is held at Puente Romano Tennis Club where more than 20,000 people attended the event last year. Among the confirmed players are number one Ana Ivanovic (Serbia) and Victoria Azarenka (Bielorrusia) – actual number 9 ranking. Click here to read more...


* Children´s charity fair in Calahonda

This is a little bit ahead of schedule, but you may want to mark your calendar for this special charity event, which seeks to raise funds for the Children's Oncology Department in Malaga Hospital.

* Marbella walk this Sunday

The Marbella Youth Delegation is holding its last walk of the season this Sunday April 3rd to "Benahavís y Montemayor". This free walk is 3,200 meters and is considered moderate difficulty.

These walks are limited to 50 places per trip and include transport, insurance, and a guide. Registration can be made during the week of each walk at the offices of the Marbella Youth Delegation and in San Pedro de Alcántara. Click here to read more...


* Puerto Banus street market on tomorrow

The weather has been absolutely gorgeous, so you can count on the street vendors coming out in force at the Puerto Banus street market on Saturday morning. No trip to Marbella is complete without a visit to this market where you can find an Aladdin´s cave of treasures to take home from souvenirs to furniture. The market officially starts at 10:00, but try to get there early, even at 9:00 so you can find parking and even have a quick breakfast in the morning at one of the local cafes before the crowd rushes in.
