* Andalucia nature walk through Las Sierras de Tejeda nature park on Sunday

Marbella Town Hall organizes walks through nature reserves, parks, mountains and other outdoor areas in Andalusia at very reasonable prices called Salidas Abiertas. This is a great way to discover the nature that exists along the Costa del Sol and Andalusia as well as a wonderful opportunity to meet locals and practice your Spanish.

Today´s walk is in Sedella and Salares. This walk goes through the Nature Park Las Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara and Alhama. There will be beautiful views of La Maroma. Click here to read more...

Marbella Town Hall and the Culture and Education delegation has announced that the Area de Cine is organizing a series of movies in their original version subtitled in Spanish starting on October 20 and lasting throughout December. The Palacio de Ferias y Congresos in Marbella will be hosting a Peace Day Concert in honor of the UK organization "Peace One Day" on Sunday November 28 starting at 6:00pm. Come out to support local schools and residents for a very peaceful day. Entrance is free, so there is no excuse! * ITV in Marbella

Today I had an appointment for my car at the ITV (Inspección Técnica de Vehículos). It is the equivalent of an MOT in the UK or the DMV in the US. I remember the first time I had to go for the ITV inspection and was a bit lost as it is all conducted in Spanish and at the time my Spanish was not very good. * IKEA Málaga open on November 1

I just noticed that IKEA will be open on Monday November 1st regardless of the Dia de Todos los Santos holiday. IKEA will have its usual opening hours from 10.00 to 22.00 (Restaurant from 09.00 to 21.30)

So if you don´t make it to the cemetery or have to roast chestnuts, get some shopping done on the 1st. FYI, IKEA has already set out Christmas items, so you can plan ahead and get your holiday shopping done too.


* 4x4 rally in Marbella this weekend

* Ecological products on the Costa del Sol

Are more people into buying ecological food products or is it just me? We´ve had a couple of new postings on the site recommending websites that offer internet shopping and delivery on many eco-friendly items from fruit & veg to hand cream & dog food.

I don´t do all my shopping online, but find that for many things it´s easy and convenient. And on top of that I feel really good about eating food that is all natural and hormone and pesticide free. What I recommend to do is order just a couple of things to test out the system and taste the food. If you like it, you will find that you will get into a routine of ordering and eating wholesome biological-friendly food. Click here to read more...
