* Football teams start training

Although summer isn´t over yet, our son has started his training with his football team in San Pedro - Costa Unida. This isn´t the only team to try and get a head start on the season. There are many other federated football teams on the Costa del Sol gearing up as well. If your child is interested in signing up for a football team it is best to get them started already and not wait too long. * Photo competition Vega del Mar

The Marbella International Film Festival, are pleased to announce their summer screening program. * Explosion in San Pedro hotel

An explosion rocked the Cortijo Blanco urbanization in San Pedro Alcantara, not far from where we live, last Monday morning.

A hot water pipe that was buried in a wall on calle Antonio Mingote, between the hotel Cortijo Blanco and the bar Cheers, burst, projecting pieces of concrete and tiles on to two people walking along the street. The police quickly cordoned off the area and evacuated the two tourists apparently in critical condition, with wounds on their head and legs.


* IV Oriental Dance Festival starts today!

One of our readers writes, "We just tried a great restaurant in San Pedro called Catame Despacito. They´ve got really good food that is like nouvelle cuisine.
