These are the listing for movies that are playing in Marbella and on the Coast in English from Friday December 17th until Thursday December 23rd. For unknown reasons, the cinemas in Fuengirola and Málaga are not posting movie times for Wednesday and Thursday. We will continue to return to their site for any updates.

* Apartments with heated pools

* Ice skating in Marbella

The Palacio de Ferias y Congresos in Marbella has opened an 800 sq. meter ice skating rink, Christmas market and children´s attractions during the holidays. Hours are from 12:00pm until 11:00pm. Free entrance and 7 euros for skates and 45 minutes on the ice rink. Rides are from 1 to 2 euros. There is a cafeteria on site and an opportunity to buy churros. Click here to read more...


* Christmas concert in Mijas

On Friday the 17th of December at 9pm, the Symphony Orchestra of the Province of Malaga will perform a Christmas Concert - the Opus 71 of Tchaikovsky´s “Nutcrackers” – tickets are 7€ and 5€ in case you are in possession of a pensioners card or a youth card. Click here to read more...

Santa Claus is visiting La Canada Marbella shopping center during the holidays.

* Good morning Marbella!

Uf! What a chilly morning it is today. A brisk 7 degrees at 9:00am. The sun was out, so at least we can smile about that. You can even see Gibraltar pretty clearly and Morocco from San Pedro. However, it´s all going to be short lived. Heavy rains are predicted for tomorrow (perfect timing for my son´s football match, NOT) and light showers for Sunday. Not a good weekend. * Cheese festival in Marbella

Tomorrow, Saturday December 18th, from 11:00am to 8:00pm the Feria de los Quesos Artesanos de Andalucia (Festival of artesanal cheeses of Andalucia) will be held at the Paseo de la Alameda in Marbella center next to old town. It will be a great opportunity to taste over 20 different cheeses from the region at competitive prices.


* Chocolate and churros in Marbella tomorrow

* Live Nativity Scenes in Marbella this weekend

On Saturday December 18th from 1:00pm to 4:00pm - Live Nativity Scene in Marbella. This live nativity scene is acted out at the Parque Infantil (playground) near Plaza de Toros (Marbella bullring).

Another nativity scene will be out on Sunday December 19th from 12:00pm and 4:00pm. These spectacular presentations performed in two sessions at the Parque de la Alameda (Alameda Park) by the Hermanas Maldonado Dance School supports the Union of Pain Relief Care of the Spanish Association Against Cancer.
