* Andalucia nature walk through Malaga Mountains on Sunday

Marbella Town Hall organizes walks through nature reserves, parks, mountains and other outdoor areas in Andalusia at very reasonable prices called Salidas Abiertas. This is a great way to discover the nature that exists along the Costa del Sol and Andalusia as well as a wonderful opportunity to meet locals and practice your Spanish.

Sunday´s walk is in Algatocín-Benalauría-Benadalid, which passes through Valle del Genal (Genal Valley). It starts at Algatocín, passes through Benalauría arriving at Benadalid. The Genal Valley is particularly charming this time of year when the chestnut trees start to lose their leaves. This is an intermediate/advanced 14km walk and costs only 12 euros (includes transportation, accident insurance, and guides)! Click here to read more...

* Lunch on the beach

Today is a gorgeous sunny day (Saturday is also supposed to be nice) and it´s perfect weather to have lunch on the beach. One of our favorites is Los Sardinales in Elviria. This is a seafood restaurant, so make sure you try some boquerones fritas (fried anchovies), calamares, gambas pil pil (shrimp in oil, garlic and chili). The best paella on the coast is served up at Los Sardinales, so save room for this. If you´re feeling like something different try the black paella cooked in squid ink and served with aioli (garlic like mayonnaise). Hurry! Because on Sunday it´s expected to rain.
